The main reason people fail at online business is said to be because they quit too soon, without giving it a fair chance. The underlying reasons for this are that they (a) Believe there is some sort of magic about the Internet that will allow them to succeed by osmosis; (b) Want something for nothing, meaning they are not willing to really work at it. (c) Do not actually have a realistic plan of action that includes investing their time and effort; (d) Do not treat it seriously as they would a job.
Let’s examine each of these things in a little more depth.
(a) Belief in magic. It is true that some terminology may lead someone to feel that things will be a lot easier and faster than they really are. This is where normal people should employ whatever common sense and logic they may have. Understand that the statements are addressed to the public at large. There is a broad
Be honest. You could use some extra money, right? With things being what they are these days, we are mostly just grateful to have an income at all sometimes. Knowing what can happen in a recession, etc., has been a wake-up call for lots of people. Even when you are doing an excellent job, even when you have been with a company for years, there is no real job security. Things can happen that are even beyond the control of your employer and sometimes they have no choice for whatever reason to ‘downsize’. This is the reason you should start now to earn extra money online from home: ‘Just in case’.
In the meantime, life goes on. Things catch your eye or you remember how you always wanted to have something or to go somewhere, but you never can afford anything extra anymore. Most people are living paycheck-to-paycheck and again, they are just grateful t
What is ‘residual’ income? It is income where you make a sale one time and it generates income on a regular basis going forward. Residual income can even be earned on multiple levels. For example if you refer someone to an affiliate program, you make a commission for a percentage of the initial sale. In the future when your customer pays their membership fees for the program each month, you earn a percentage of that as a commission. With ‘multi-level-marketing’ you may also receive a percentage of the commissions when your customer makes sales of their own.
So the idea is that you have income that continues to generate as a result of that initial sale for as long as your customer remains active in the program. This would also be true if you were directly selling a service, for as long as your customer continues to use the service.
Usually if you ar
Before spending your money on anything, of course you want to be fully aware of what you are actually buying into. You need to know if you can afford it, and if it meets your requirements. You need to be sure that you will be able to use it effectively (does the program include training, instruction and support). You need to know how it works and what is included (the basics as well as any resources available to members). Very importantly for any affiliate program, you need to be aware of any special circumstances that may be part of the compensation plan.
There is usually a lot more to it than that you pay so much for the membership and you receive a percentage of the cost in commissions when you make a sale. The special circumstances could mean that you are ‘passing up’ a commission to your sponsor or giving them a percentage of each
